Orientation for Montessori Students Transition to the Primary Section – MCCS

This session is designed to familiarize families with the new academic environment, classroom structure. The orientation highlights the shift from play-based learning to a more structured and formal curriculum that balances academics with creativity and academic development.

Key areas covered during the orientation include:

  • We need parental support and collaboration to ensure a successful transition.
  • Introduction to the Primary Curriculum, including core subjects such as English, Urdu, Mathematics, Science, and Islamiyat.
  • Classroom routines and discipline policies, focusing on responsibility, punctuality, and independence.
  • Homework guidelines and the role of regular revision to build strong academic foundation.
  • School timings, uniform, attendance, and regularity is must.
  • Overview of co-curricular activities designed to enhance confidence and individual personality.

The orientation concludes with an interactive session where parents can ask questions, share concerns, and receive personalized advice from the teaching staff and school coordinators.

GRADE 8 ORIENTATIONS:

We hold extensive orientation program at the end of the session for grade 8 students and parents. The purpose of this program is to prepare both parents and students for the new challenges and learning opportunity of O’Level students with CAIE. In this session, we introduce the teaching and learning approaches as well as the assessment criteria for CAIE exam.  In this session we also provide in depth knowledge and complete guidance to the parents on how to support their child’s preparation for these exams, including understanding exams format, managing study schedule and leveraging resources to maximize student potential.  

The orientation addresses the following essential requirements:

  • Subject selection form to be filled and submitted by the given deadline.
  • The necessity of maintaining regular attendance and discipline throughout the academic year.
  • Counseling support is made available for academic and emotional guidance.
  • Parental involvement and communication protocols with the school’s academic incharges.

The orientation is an important step to ensure smooth and well-informed transition into this critical phase of academic growth. The session to be concludes with a Q/A segments to remove confusion and indecision, allowing parents and students to seek clarification and gain deeper insights into the O-Level journey.
